This blog was originally created as an assignment for the two classes I took in London in the summer of 2008. Now, it's just a place for my random thoughts. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I taught Social Studies for a LONG time, but now I have superpowers. I'm an information specialist aka
librarian, media specialist, Library Girl, Book Diva or just the "liberry lady." My job is to connect children with books they love!
I'm a sister, an aunt, a teacher, a friend. I'm not always good at all those things, but I try hard.
In the summer of 2008, I took two summer classes in London, while working on my Master's degree at FSU. This blog was originally an assignment in one of those classes. I discovered I like blogging, so now, it's just a collection of my random thoughts. The title comes from our first meeting in London - our building had tunnels underground that we had to use at certain times of the day. The speaker said that during World War II, people would have to go down to those tunnels to avoid Nazi bombs. She said that even though we would sometimes have to use them, "At least we're not being bombed by the Nazis!" I used it as my title because I blog about things that irritate and bother me, but hey, at least we're not being bombed by the Nazis. It's all perspective.
Hey, I'm trying something I read. If you work at my school or even if you don't, but work at SOME school, please take this little experimental quiz for me. Thanks!!
